The NFLPA has summoned all the king’s horses and all the king’s men to blitz Eagles OT Lane Johnson, but he and his attorney Steve Zashin have demonstrated they won’t go down without a fight and they’re seeking discovery in order finally prove Johnson’s allegations.

On January 6, 2016, Philadelphia Eagles OL Lane Johnson filed a lawsuit against both the NFL and the NFLPA in the Northern District of Ohio. The lawsuit contained many allegations of impropriety as to the manner in which his PED testing was done and the lack of support and even resistance he received from his Union. An order published October 3, concludes most of his case.

Predators Lurk At Every Turn As Neurologically Impaired Ex-NFL Players Seek Concussion Settlement Relief
More retired NFL players died last year, than received an award from the much-heralded “billion dollar” concussion settlement. According to profootballreference.com, 123 former players passed away in 2017. From the time the claims process began last March, through the most recent claims report filed last week, only 110 claims have been paid to date. In spite of this neurologically impaired retirees are still pursued relentlessly for whatever money they might by chance manage to receive.

Tamarick Vanover’s opponents on kickoff and punt coverage teams used to grasp at him in futility as he raced toward the end zone. Now nearly two decades later, Vanover feels that same futility in having anything to show for the days given to the NFL that he will never recoup.
