?Player Health & Safety:
MYTH: All of the difficulties I’m currently experiencing are a result of football. https://t.co/3sesMbKoRW
— NFLPA (@NFLPA) June 7, 2017
Technically not every difficulty – but union needs to acknowledge unique risks to its players and not try to sweep football liability away. https://t.co/hZ3I88oaRY
— Sheilla Dingus (@SheillaDingus) June 7, 2017
High level athletes are especially at risk for these factors and behaviors which are exacerbated by brain injury and frequent/high dosages of painkillers and anti-inflammatories. Leagues and unions need to address this head on. Truth may be inconvenient but it’s essential for solutions.
I’ve long believed the NFL has a plantation mentality when it comes to the treatment of the players so I must ask why do I continue to watch
