Advocacy for Fairness in Sports sent its first fundraiser mailer on June 24. Many thanks to those who contributed to our work. For those who didn’t, there’s still time, our work is ongoing and we hope you’ll partner with us in keeping accurate information out there and seeking positive change.

Dear friend of Advocacy for Fairness in Sports,
These are exciting times for our organization! We’ve published a lot of informative content that you cannot find anywhere else over the past three years including possibly the most important story that I’ve written to date – a primer explaining Judge Brody’s April decision in the NFL concussion lawsuit and its negative impacts on claimants in the NFL concussion claims process. In addition, we have brought together some of the most respected minds in the world of academia, sports law, and athletes to provide a unique perspective to our readers. |

“Keep doing exactly what you do Sheilla you are a valuable asset” Irv Eatman, former NFL & USFL player and coach |

Advocacy for Fairness in Sports has been recognized and/or quoted in national publications such as the New York Times and Bleacher Report as well as in legal publications such as Law360 and the ABA Journal. | ||
“Anyone who cares about the struggles of former NFL players to get some $$$ for their brain injuries, as per the so-called settlement with the NFL, should be reading this blog. Sheilla is documenting how the settlement is a fraud, as player after player is denied compensation.” Joe Nocera, Bloomberg opinion columnist and contributor to Esquire, GQ and the New York Times. |

Please consider helping us meet our expenses and bring more insightful content that you can’t find anywhere else directly to you. Please visit our website at http://advocacyforfairnessinsports.org or click on the Donate Now button on this page to donate now. Our most recent good news: we are now a nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. We are also set up to receive donations anonymously if you prefer.
As you know, our content is provided ad-free and free of charge because we strongly believe in our mission of providing access and analysis of sports law cases which focus on the rights and wellbeing of athletes and advocating on behalf of athletes in their quests for equity, fairness, and justice. Our work is not without cost, however. The US court system charges for the thousands of underlying documents we need to bring these stories to light. In turn, we make these documents available free to you on Document Cloud. We travel to hearings to bring you firsthand insights into the latest sports litigation. In the upcoming days, we will continue to bring you stories on the continuing saga of the NFL concussion settlement, as well as new stories involving the NFL, NCAA, and more. Even a small donation from individuals such as yourself help us continue to bring these unique stories to light that otherwise would not be told. Thank you for your generous support of Advocacy for Fairness in Sports. |
